8 female boxers picked for 2012 Olympics preparations

Zambia Amateur Boxing Federation (ZABF) has selected eight female boxers to prepare for the London 2012 Olympics.

The female boxers were selected during last weekend’s boxing tournament held at Ndola’s Poteco Zamtel Club.

ZABF secretary Adolph Mwansa, named the boxers as Joyce Chileshe of Green Buffaloes, Changaza Muleya (Mazabuka) Esther Chewe (Kalewa) and Charity Mobola (Kalewa) all in the bantamweight division.

Featherweight Racheal Namusokwe, lightweight Bridget Lukonde, flyweights Sally Mwape and Magarate Chanda are also part of the team.
